England's Player Ratings for Euro 2024 Round of 16: 2-1 Slovakia comeback win: Player Ratings

A dramatic match between England and Slovakia ended with the Three Lions winning 2-1 in extra time. Slovakia had been preparing for a lackluster England throughout the game, and took the lead through a back-footed shot by Ivan Schranz to make it 1-0. Gareth Southgate’s men tried their best before Phil Foden equalised early in the second half. But the ball was ruled offside. England continued to attack with no resolve until the 90

+4 minute when Jude Bellingham did a somersault to score and keep England in the game. Harry Kane scored a header in the first minute of extra time. In a thrilling match that sent the Three Lions into the last eight.

England national team player ratings

Jordan Pickford – 6.5/10

He’s OK in terms of defense, because if you don’t count the goals that were hard to save, there weren’t any moments to worry about. In terms of attack, he tries to break away and be an option for his teammates to pass the ball, and he tries to encourage his teammates to play forward instead of just passing to the back.

Kieran Trippier – 6.5/10

Today he was given the task of pushing forward as a left wing-back and did well, creating the most chances for his team-mates in the game (4). Unfortunately, he had an open shot and his footwork was disappointing.

Kyle Walker – 6.5/10

Very solid defensively today, clearing the ground well. Offensively, still needs improvement.

John Stones – 6/10

The early game was a bit too stressful and the ball wasn’t very tame, but after a while he started to get back to normal, especially towards the end of the โปรโมชั่น ufabet game where he was able to deal with Slovakia’s attacks well.

Marc Guehi – 7/10

Appeared too flashy early on and was booked in the 3rd minute of the game, but once he got going he was in great form, making a game-high 7 aerial interceptions and setting up Jude Bellingham’s crucial goal.

Declan Rice – 8/10

Had the best defensive stats on the team today, making 4 successful tackles, 2 interceptions and 2 clearances. Also good in attack, hitting the post once.

Cobbie Mainoo – 7/10

Tested as a central midfielder alongside Declan Rice, the 19-year-old has been a real asset to England’s midfield, making some fine runs past opponents and scoring twice.

Jude Bellingham – 8.5/10

Jude was back in top form today after missing two matches and throughout the game he was running, dribbling, attacking, tackling, doing everything for the team. His efforts paid off when the ball came to Jude who somersaulted and volleyed home a crucial equaliser in the final minute to save England from defeat.

Phil Foden – 6/10

Still a key man for Man City , although he did score one goal today but it was disallowed for poor physicality which led to him being offside.

Bukayo Saka – 6.5/10

His form improved from last match, making the most dribbles in the game (4). He was deployed as a left back for a while, which he did quite well.

Harry Kane – 7/10

More involved in the game but missed a few big chances. Luckily he made up for it with a goal to turn the game around, otherwise he would have been criticised as usual.

Substitute

Cole Palmer (replaced Kieran Trippier 66′) – 6.5/10

Came on to give England more attacking depth and helped with possession, which no one in the team had previously dared to keep in the opposition half. Overall, he didn’t have as many great moments as in previous games.

Eberichi Ese (replaced Kobbie Mainoo in 84′) – 6.5/10

Another one who came on and had an impact on the game, as he helped to disrupt the opposing defenders with his quick footwork and dribbling skills, and was another option for keeping the ball in the opposing half.

Ivan Toney (replaced Phil Foden 90+3′) – 7.5/10

Ivan Toney came on at the right time because even though he got less playing time than his teammates, he was a player who intelligently assisted Harry Kane’s winning goal. Plus, when England needed to keep the score, Toney was good at helping with long balls up front, as well as in defense. His height was also useful in defending set pieces late in the game.

Conor Gallagher (on for Harry Kane 106′) – N/A

Ezri Konsa (replaced Jude Bellingham 106′) – N/A
